I'm reminded of doing Music at uni, and reading about Joni Mitchell. One day, so long ago, tucked away in a corner, I read that she had given her baby up for adoption. I can't quote it exactly, but it went something along the lines of...giving up a child; it leaves a deep hole in a woman.
I drew a lot of courage from that.
I'm sorry I can't quote it exactly, just now.
But it's related with a tremendous amount of faith, and love.

I love Carl Sagan - I went to a scientific entertainment talk in the UK recently, called 'The Uncaged Monkeys' and at the end they plays Sagan's speech about the 'Little Blue Dot' and a lump formed in my throat and tears filled my eyes. It was very moving.
